Windows Phone Achieves 10 Percent share in Europe, Android Leads On


Based on Worldpanel market analysis of the third quarter of 2013, Windows Phone recorded able to achieve more than 10% of the market in Europe for the first time . In addition to the Windows Phone , Android also increasingly popular and established himself in the first position of market share in the region .

Windows Phone share means more than double the share in the same period in 2012, while the Windows Phone share reached only 4.7 % . According to Kantar , mostly used Windows Phone version is below .

Kantar notes that 75 % of Nokia Lumia phones sold in the UK is the Lumia 520 and Lumia 620 . This trend is similar to other EU markets . Windows Phone recorded the biggest jump in the UK is to be 12 % in the month of October.

Meanwhile Android is able to achieve an increase of 7 % to 70.9 % in the five largest European markets . While the iOS although able to thrive in Japan and the United States turns its market in Europe is not so good though it launched the iPhone 5s and 5c . IOS only able to achieve a share of 15.8 % in the five major European countries . Share this share fell from 21.2 % has been achieved when the iPhone 5 slide last year . In addition to iOS , other platforms are Blackberry recorded decreases are only able to achieve a share of 3 % in Europe , after the previous year still has a share of 7.9 % .
