Appropriate Time to Give Children a Smartphone

Smartphone function that can be used as a means of entertainment and learning makes it not only favored by parents aged adults, but children also need it.

However, the relationship between the smartphone and the children is recognized like a double-edged knife. In addition to be able to help a variety of children's activities and entertainment, smartphones sometimes cause harm.

Of the 2,033 parents surveyed, 64% thought that the age range of 10-14 years is the most appropriate time to deliver the smartphone in children. 21% at age 15-18 years, and 10% under the age of 10 years. If on average, 12 years of age is the most appropriate time according to the American Express survey.

In addition, American Express is also revealed that the average parent will spend money of $ 529, equivalent to Rp 6.2 million to buy their smartphones in the back-to-school.
