IPhone battery quickly runs out? Install the Facebook app for iOS? Perhaps, that social networking applications culprit.

This was revealed by a former employee of Apple's Genius Bar named Scott Loveless. In a blog post, quoted by Forbes, Loveless said that Facebook applications often suck power even when not in use.

Search the Xcode developer tools that can monitor akif programs and resource consumption on the iPhone Facebook app often conclude abruptly put resources in large quantities.

Resource usage suddenly up repeatedly it would seize power processor, which in turn wastes battery.

So, how do I fix this? It turned out pretty with two simple steps, ie turn off Location Services and Background Refresh App for Facebook that can be accessed from the Settings menu. Each sub-menu located on Privacy and General.

"What happens next is quite remarkable. Percentage residual battery on my cell phone, up from 12 percent to 17 percent," wrote Loveless.

To ensure further, Loveless tried a similar move on a number of other iPhone. But the result is the same.

This is not the first time Facebook application culprit blamed to be a waste of battery on the iPhone. Last year, iOS developers from Germany, Sebastian Duvel, has also been mentioned that many times the Facebook application active in the background.

On the Android platform, Facebook applications have also been caught wasting battery. Turning off location services and Chat Head on the main Facebook app and Facebook Messenger, for example, been shown to increase the durability of these OS-based devices.
