Conference event Google I / O in San Francisco, United States, which took place on Wednesday (06/25/2015), is used by internet giant Google to announce Android One initiative. Android One is a program to provide low-cost smartphone platform to be marketed in developing countries.
As quoted from The Verge, Google will make smartphone reference design model alias reference. This smartphone models then can be taken to be produced by the manufacturer of Google's partner.
According to Google, the Android smartphone generated through this program should be priced relatively affordable.
One Android phones using the Android operating system of Google's stock version, but the OEM manufacturer and carrier partners can add their own applications.
The process of software updates can be done automatically as in other Android phones.
Android One program will first start up in India around the third quarter of 2014, in which the Google partners in the country, such as Karbonn, Cromax, and will be co-produced Spice One Android phone.
Google also shows an example of a unit made by Micromax One Android smartphone is equipped with 4.5 inch screen, FM radio, dual-SIM, and SD Card slot. This smart phone is valued less than 100 U.S. dollars.
