Path Message Will Lost in 24 Hours
Social network Path that was ascending in popularity, especially in Indonesia, will change its policies related features a private messaging service (private messaging) in it.
In their official blog post on Friday (06/06/2014), Path announced that starting June 11, 2014, all messages sent through the Path to fellow users will only be stored on the server Path for 24 hours.
That is, after the user sends a private message through the path, the message is deleted from the server path within 24 hours (ephemeral).
While all the messages that are downloaded from the server path will be stored in each user's device, until they log out, uninstall, or update to a newer version of Path.
Therefore, if the user wants to save a particular message before the entry into force of this new policy, they are encouraged to open and save the message thread.
However, Path does not add special features to keep the old messages. Users are advised to copy just the conversation messages to other messaging applications, or make a screenshot.
As for the photo sent via private message, the user can save it to the Camera Roll app for iOS devices, and Android devices feature in the Gallery.
Voice messages (voice messages) and the video is said to Path can not be downloaded and stored in the device, both in iOS and Android.
