So long been in the business phones, BlackBerry finally plunging into the software with the release of the BlackBerry service Assistant. The presence of this virtual assistant adds to a long line of technology companies that have similar features including Apple, Google, and Microsoft. The company plans to include it on the BlackBerry Passport, which supposedly will be launched in September.
Assistant BlackBerry can handle a variety of tasks, users can search for e-mail and calendar ask, find out what's trending on Twitter, send a note of fuel and even send event invitations. As with other Assistant, virtual assistant that will learn and adapt to user habits over time. The company claims that users will be surprised by the Assistant accuracy in responding to the request.
Assistant designed compatible with Bluetooth devices, thus making it useful when behind the wheel. Including when asked to read the latest email messages and will also mark them unread if asked, all can be done with the hands-free users. Users also can talk with BlackBerry Assistant and set it up to adjust notifications. So, for example if you want the lunch break and do not want to be bothered by social media notifications or text messages, tell Assistant "Please phone calls only" and will be changing notification settings.
Until now, the company has not released a video preview and not yet confirmed whether the Assistant is exclusive to BlackBerry Passport or will come to older devices as well as through an update of the BB10 OS 10.3.
