Tizen Operating System Use on Samsung Smartphone Soon

Sistem Operasi Tizen Segera Hiasi Smartphone Samsung SEOUL - Samsung ready to adopt the Tizen operating system for some of its smartphone models. In Tizen conference Developers Conference in San Francisco, Tuesday, Samsung declared its readiness to compete using Tizen OS in the world market.

The conference was attended by representatives from the Linux Foundation, Intel, and Samsung itself. Brian Warner, manager of The Linux Foundation Tizen project said that from the beginning of Tizen was created as a platform suitable for all kinds of devices.

"Tizen is 'OS of Everything', just like Android, Tizen is also an open source operating system based on Linux," said Brian as quoted by InformationWeek, Wednesday (07/02/2014).

As is known, Samsung has launched the world's first smartphone powered by Tizen operating system, called the Samsung Z. Reportedly, the smartphone will go on sale in Russia in the quarter July to September.

Most of the current Samsung phone using the Android platform, but the South Korean company has teamed up with chip maker Intel to develop Tizen as an alternative operating system. It is seen as an effort to reduce its dependence on Samsung Android developers, Google.
