Samsung, Intel Working on "SmartHome"


Intel rumored to have formed a consortium together with the Consortium of Open Interconnect IT companies to build open source code for smart home (SmartHome) and office equipment, computers, network devices, and so forth. IT company recently towed by Intel is a manufacturer of electronics and smartphones, Samsung.

Quoted from Softpedia, software and a variety of resources will be pooled together by a company member of Open Interconnect Consortium. The ultimate goal is to create a strong foundation or base for any electronic device that is connected, via a network or the web, for all the tools used by each individual.

Intel and Samsung want all the devices can be connected wirelessly, and for the flow of information must be managed intelligently between personal computers and through the Internet. Until all devices, including gadgets, wearable devices, kitchen appliances, bathroom appliances, to smart car, can be connected to each other, and facilitate human life.

In addition to Samsung and Intel, the other big names who are members of the Open Interconnect Consortium is Dell, Broadcom, Atmel and Wind River.
