Eyes On The Road , Driving Non - Cellular Applications
Samsung has just launched the Android mobile application that prevents you from texting while driving . This application aims to protect the public from dangers arising from the breakup of attention to the road . Samsung noted that motorists 2.8 times more likely to have an accident when you call and 23 times more likely while texting .
Currently , the application is called Eyes on the Road is only available in Singapore because Samsung wants to explore the full potential before launching into other markets .
Eyes on the Road applications using sensor fusion technology in mobile phones and GSM cellular tower to measure your speed to determine whether you are driving the middle . If so , the application will hide phone calls , SMS text messages , and social media notifications until you reach the point of destination .
If you drive over 20 miles per hour , Eyes on the Road will block the incoming call and send an automated reply with a text message saying that you are behind the wheel .
Applications will be bestowed in return for implementing " mobile - free driving . " Achievements that you can share with friends and to open presents . Yield was including Shell petrol vouchers and discounts insurance premiums .
South Korean company is testing Eyes on the Road in Singapore and evaluate how the application will automatically activation after detecting that a person was driving . A survey in Singapore showed that more than eight out of 10 riders admitted to using their cell phones without a hands-free kit while driving in the past year .
