DELHI - Microsoft India recently introducing the latest security application named Guardian . Application security mobile users is available exclusively for Windows -based smart phone users in India .
Raj Biyani , Director of Microsoft IT India argues , the user can use the application 's security alert button ' SOS ' is connected to the security agencies , police , and hospitals easily through the application when the user experiencing difficulty .
This application was developed for six months by a group of enthusiastic employees of Microsoft in India , in Microsoft's Garage . Microsoft Garage is itself a global employee innovation initiatives that provide Microsoft employees an outlet for exploring ideas in their spare time .
" Our employees wanted to do something to allow people to feel safer in our cities . So they use that time to develop the Guardian . It is a powerful personal security application with more security features for the Indian smartphone users , " said Biyani as reported Indiatoday , Thursday ( 12/26/2013 )
To use the Guardian app , users need to add the names of friends , family members and groups to security settings and in emergency situations . Biyani further said , the application can be used to remind them , through the SOS button .
" The phone then sends an SMS to a contact number available , they memebritahu about emergencies along with location details . At the same time SOS button also send emails and post to the private Facebook group , if registered . Application is also capable of recording video with one touch which can be used later as evidence , " he continued .
